Freedom Riding Academy special events will be unique from other existing veterans outreach events because the events will provide participants and their families with exposure to a wellness activity focused on making them a safer more confident motorcycle rider. Events will consist of riding seminars by industry experts and two up rides with professional riders, as well as parade laps on the track with their own bikes led by Freedom’s coaches. Special events will provide opportunities to experience some of the empowerment and adrenaline experienced while serving.
Many veterans have a sense of isolation since leaving active duty and therefore Freedom Riding Academy special events will serve as non-clinical outreach events intended to connect participants with their peers and utilize the camaraderie of fellow riders to gain a sense of vitality and teamwork they experienced on active duty. Additionally, the events will provide a venue to expose participants to a network of veteran organizations that provide unique wellness services to a normally self-diagnosing group of service members and veterans that use riding to fill voids not filled in any other way.
Community leaders and industry executives will be invited to participate ensuring they understand the importance of these events and the value they serve for those who have given so much but asked for so little.
